Fornite Battle Royale Mobile - Chapter 2 is a
free-to-play action-adventure online game developed and published by Epic Games.
Fortnite: Battle Royale is a companion game to
Fortnite: Save the World, which had combined the
co-op apocalyptic survival genre with a
construction game mechanic. This time,
Fortnite Chapter 2 is the
next adventure
to the previous ten seasons of the first version and features a wild
all-new map and several new cool stuff to welcome you into this next
story.
versus
In both Fortnite
games, the sudden appearance of a worldwide storm causes 98% of the
world's population to disappear and zombie-like creatures rise to attack
the remainder. In Battle Royale, however, you instead have to compete
against 99 other players on a large island and be the last man standing as the playable map continually shrinks over time. Fortnite: Battle Royale
has stayed true to this for the past two years of its heightened
popularity. To keep things fresh and fun for the few game modes it
offers, tons of seasons were continuously held, bringing in both
permanent upgrades to different features—like weapons and map
landmarks—and limited-time events that include the season finales with
epic battles.
The Reset
Here
in Chapter 2, it’s still the same-old mission, but now so many new
upgrades and additions were introduced in order to attract both new and
old players to play. When Season X had ended, the game map was engulfed by a black hole
and you couldn’t play the game for over two days as the screen only
showed the black hole. Once Chapter 2’s Season 1 had finally launched,
the very first massive change was evident as you entered the game: the map was an all-new world—a fresh start to the season and loose narrative of Fortnite: Battle Royale.
The new island you’ll be battling on looks wilder and more untamed than
the first one, with more forests, mountains, and lakes surrounding you
than manmade structures.
More Fun
The new map isn’t just the only thing you get to enjoy in Chapter 2. There are new gameplay features, such as the ability to fish on the various bodies of water for items and actually swim in the fully-accessible waters. You can even drive boats on the lakes. If you love playing multiplayer with friends, there are now new co-op emotes like high-fives and coordinated dances. You can also carry your teammate to safety if they’re hurt and even hide in haystacks and dumpsters to ambush enemy players. You can use the Bandage Bazooka to heal friends and leveling up is much easier now with the various challenges that you can do to earn points for experience. There’s also a new skill-based matchmaking system so matches will feel more balanced.
Time to Play Again
All,
Fortnite Chapter 2 is a
promising reset to the new season of
Fortnite and
playing on mobile will no doubt still be as fun as playing on consoles.
The premise stays the same so returning players won’t find the new
landscape too hard to get used to, but at the same time, it feels like a
brand-new game you’re going to try for the first time—with its
upgraded graphics and gameplay mechanics setting the stage for this
battle royale.
